Merchandiser

Our client is a well-established premium retailer, trading across the UK and internationally. Stock performance sits at the heart of the business, and this role owns it end to end.

You'll sit at the centre of Buying, Trading and Operations, making sure the right products are in the right place, in the right quantities, at the right time and at the right price. Stock health, availability, sell-through, aged and excess stock, forecasting and replenishment across the Group all sit with you.

This is hands-on and analytical. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you won't just report on performance - you'll spot the issues and opportunities in the numbers and drive action to fix them, working closely with Trading to balance sell-through against margin.

What You'll Be Doing

Own Range Setup & Pricing

• Load new lines, pricing and stock accurately and on time ahead of launch dates agreed with Buying
• Manage price changes across the range, including planned promotions and markdowns on aged, slow-moving and overstocked lines
• Identify aged and excess stock early and lead the pricing and clearance strategy to move it efficiently, in partnership with Trading

Drive Replenishment & Forecasting

• Set and maintain reorder points, minimum and maximum stock levels and automated replenishment rules to keep best-sellers in stock
• Support demand forecasting, feeding into Buying's stock investment and open-to-buy decisions
• Monitor stock availability, sell-through and stock cover by category and style, escalating gaps or risks before they hit trade

Report & Partner Across the Business

• Produce regular stock and trading reports for the Commercial Director, Buying and Trading, flagging risks, opportunities and recommended actions
• Partner with Operations on inbound stock, expected delivery dates, goods received and resolving stock discrepancies
• Work closely with Buying on range planning, stock investment, supplier performance and new product launches
