About the role
The service provides specialist mental health rehabilitation, learning disability, autism, and complex-needs support across secure and residential environments. Their multidisciplinary teams deliver high-quality, person-centred care focused on recovery, independence, and positive outcomes.
The Role
As Ward Manager, you will lead the operational management of the service, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, recovery-focused care within a therapeutic and least-restrictive environment.
Working closely with the Clinical Lead, Consultant Psychiatrist, nursing teams, and therapists, you will promote rehabilitation, dignity, independence, and safety for all service users.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide visible day-to-day operational leadership across the ward/service
* Lead, supervise, and support RMNs and Recovery Support Workers
* Ensure compliance with clinical governance, safeguarding, risk management, CQC standards, Mental Health Act, and Mental Capacity Act requirements
* Manage staffing levels, rotas, sickness absence, and participate in the on-call rota
* Oversee care planning, medication management, documentation, and ward standards
* Lead audits, quality improvement initiatives, and service compliance

* Support recruitment, induction, supervision, and staff development
About You
To be considered for this opportunity, you will:
* Be a qualified RMN with experience within mental health inpatient or rehabilitation services
* Have proven leadership and people management experience
* Demonstrate strong knowledge of safeguarding, clinical risk management, and regulatory frameworks
* Be passionate about person-centred, recovery-focused care
* Have the ability to build and lead supportive, high-performing teams
