About the role

The service provides specialist mental health rehabilitation, learning disability, autism, and complex-needs support across secure and residential environments. Their multidisciplinary teams deliver high-quality, person-centred care focused on recovery, independence, and positive outcomes. The Role As Ward Manager, you will lead the operational management of the service, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, recovery-focused care within a therapeutic and least-restrictive environment. Working closely with the Clinical Lead, Consultant Psychiatrist, nursing teams, and therapists, you will promote rehabilitation, dignity, independence, and safety for all service users. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and compassionate clinical leader passionate about developing high-performing teams and delivering exceptional standards of care. Key Responsibilities * Provide visible day-to-day operational leadership across the ward/service * Lead, supervise, and support RMNs and Recovery Support Workers * Ensure compliance with clinical governance, safeguarding, risk management, CQC standards, Mental Health Act, and Mental Capacity Act requirements * Manage staffing levels, rotas, sickness absence, and participate in the on-call rota * Oversee care planning, medication management, documentation, and ward standards * Lead audits, quality improvement initiatives, and service compliance * Promote a positive and inclusive culture aligned with CARE values: * Competent * Accountable * Resilient * Ethical * Build strong working relationships with families, carers, and external professionals * Support recruitment, induction, supervision, and staff development About You To be considered for this opportunity, you will: * Be a qualified RMN with experience within mental health inpatient or rehabilitation services * Have proven leadership and people management experience * Demonstrate strong knowledge of safeguarding, clinical risk management, and regulatory frameworks * Be passionate about person-centred, recovery-focused care * Have the ability to build and lead supportive, high-performing teams What’s on Offer * Opportunity to work within a specialist rehabilitation setting * Supportive multidisciplinary environment * Career progression and leadership development * Interim and permanent opportunities available * Meaningful role supporting individuals with complex mental health needs For further information or a confidential discussion, please apply today
