Driver

Job Role: CPC Driver (Category C / D Entitled)

MPA are seeking experienced and reliable Professional Drivers with Category C or Category D licenses to join our dynamic team. As part of a team of professional drivers you are a critical to the smooth running of the operation.

Location - Belfast

Hours of Work - 37.5 hours per week. Mon - Fri

Salary- £12.75 PH

What the role entails:

1. Daily collection and conveyance of Trust clients and/or officers as allocated.

2. Collecting and conveying staff and clients for social and educational outings and during holiday trips.

3. Securing clients travelling with recommended restraint devices.

4. Where necessary assist clients, including those using wheelchairs or walking aids, etc in any manner possible with regard to their needs e.g. preparation for transit to (and on return home) centres and functions, doing up laces, switching off lights and appliances etc.

5. Assist clients into and out of vehicles

6. Providing, where appropriate, personal assistance to clients/patients and ensuring privacy, dignity and rights of clients.

7. Helping in the provision of individual and group programmes of care.

8. Participating in group and leisure activities.

9. Attending and contributing to reviews of clients/ patients as appropriate.

10. Participating in programme of formal supervision

11. Being available to listen and talk to clients/patients.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC)

Category C / C1 or Category D License

Clean Full UK License, with no more than 3 points

Experience of Driving Commercial Vehicles (up to 7500kg)

A full clean driving licence (up to 3 points for minor offence may be accepted) with unrestricted codes for C1 & D (Vehicle between 3500kg and 7500kg with Trailer over 750kg with combined vehicle and trailer up to 12,000kg
