Backend Developer (Python) 6 Months London (Hybrid) £(Apply online only) per day (Inside IR35) ***Please note - The selected candidate MUST HAVE strong Banking Experience to be considered for this position*** My client, a tier 1 bank, looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join a high-performing engineering team within a global financial services environment. The role focuses on building, modernising and supporting highly distributed, business-critical backend systems. Key Requirements Strong Python backend development Advanced SQL / database development Microservices and event-driven architecture Kafka and/or Tibco TDD and automated testing Kubernetes and/or OpenShift Prometheus, Grafana or similar Production support and troubleshooting Agile delivery experience Desirable Financial Services / Capital Markets experience CI/CD and DevOps Legacy system modernisation Experience supporting critical production platforms We're looking for a hands-on engineer with strong problem-solving skills and a focus on code quality, testing and system reliability.
