About the role

Sales Manager As our Sales Manager, you will play a key role in driving our business forward. You’ll develop strategic customer relationships, identify and secure new business opportunities, and deliver sales and order intake targets. The role is centred on building long-term partnerships with key accounts, leading the bid and proposal process, and positively representing the company’s products, services and capabilities across the industry.Location: Wimborne, UKYour Challenge: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve order intake and revenue targetsIdentify, qualify and convert new business opportunities within existing and prospective customer accountsBuild, manage and strengthen productive relationships with key customers, partners and stakeholdersLead the complete sales cycle, from opportunity identification and qualification through proposal development, negotiation and contract awardDevelop and maintain effective account plans, capture strategies and sales forecasts for assigned customersGather market intelligence, monitor industry trends and identify emerging business opportunitiesPrepare and deliver compelling technical and commercial proposals in collaboration with internal teamsWork closely with Commercial, Engineering, Operations and Project Delivery teams to ensure the successful transition of awarded contractsSupport strategic business planning by providing valuable market insights and sales pipeline informationWork closely with Commercial during customer negotiations to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes while protecting the interests of the businessRepresent the company positively at customer meetings, industry conferences, exhibitions and professional forumsEnsure that all sales activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, procedures and ethical standardsMaintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records to support the effective management of customer relationships and sales opportunitiesYour Expertise: Strong understanding of customer account management and strategic sales planningExperience in managing complex technical sales and commercial negotiationsStrong commercial awareness, with the ability to negotiate successful outcomesExcellent relationship-building and stakeholder-management skillsIn-depth understanding of target markets, customer applications and industry trendsHighly motivated, with a proactive and results-driven approachExcellent emotional intelligence and communication skillsAbility to influence and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teamsExcellent organisational, planning and forecasting skillsResilient, self-motivated and focused on delivering business objectivesWho We AreOur ValuesEnvironmental, Social and GovernanceCurtiss-Wright Wimborne, a Business Unit of Curtiss-Wright Nuclear, is a global engineering and design manufacture leader with just over six decades of experience designing for heavily regulated markets, such as nuclear, aerospace, oil and gas, and more.
