About the role

Are you a passionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in primary education? Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants to support a variety of primary schools across Birmingham. We have flexible opportunities available for daily supply, short-term cover, and long-term placements. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are committed to supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and helping them thrive both academically and socially within a nurturing school environment. The Role: Supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis or in small groups Assisting the class teacher with learning activities and classroom routines Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence Supporting children with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and learning needs Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment We Are Looking For: Experience working with children or young people with SEND A patient, caring, and resilient attitude Strong communication and teamwork skills A genuine passion for supporting childrens learning and development Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What Prospero Teaching Offers: Flexible work to suit your availability Competitive daily pay rates Opportunities across a range of Birmingham primary schools Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant Free accredited CPD training Potential long-term and permanent opportunities Whether you are an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant or looking to build your experience within education, we would love to hear from you
