You will play an active role in ensuring our production process achieves high levels of productivity by keeping machinery maintained across our production lines.With a multi-skilled approach, you will support driving standards, embedding critical processes, and empowering team members to act as one team to achieve key operational results.Core ResponsibilitiesCompleting all planned and reactive tasks necessary to support engineering operations to meet key performance indicatorsUtilising the Engineering activity planning system within CMMS to manage planned maintenance activities and stock control to maximise system availabilityCompleting audits to ensure safety standards across all machinesWorking closely with operational teams to identify and resolve issues, either live or through continuous improvement workRepresenting the engineering function in site team huddlesApplying Root Cause Analysis methodology to remove repeatable faults and sharing findings across the networkSupporting contractor control management on site using Permit to Work and Lockout/Tagout processesLiaising with suppliers to ensure correct specifications and component procurementMentoring and developing Associate Engineers and Engineering Support OperativesWho You AreApprenticeship trained and electrically qualified, ideally with a multi-skilled engineering backgroundQualified to a minimum of City & Guilds, ONC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an engineering disciplineExperienced in PLC fault findingHolding a working knowledge of health and safety standards with the ability to maintain them in a live operational environmentPossessing a Hazard & Risk Assessment qualification, isolation and check for dead capability, or an understanding of dynamic risk assessmentUnderstanding Root Cause Analysis and continuous improvement processesFamiliar with FMCG, food manufacturing, or automation systems such as box erectors, pallet wrappers, simple air systems, conveying equipment, PLC control principles, batch/process line flow concepts, warehouse automation, and pick-by-light systemsProficient with MS Office and Google Docs suite toolsQualificationsCity & Guilds, ONC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an Engineering disciplineElectrical Qualification (Multi-skilled preferred)IOSH qualification (desirable)PUWER, LOLER, and Manual Handling training (desirable)Additional InformationBenefits25 days paid leave (plus bank holidays) which increases annually40% Gousto discount, Your first Gousto box FREE, 15% Gousto discount for friends and family, and the sharing of free food as availablePensionHealthcareAccess to Aviva digital GP and wellness appGym membershipEmployee assistance, discounts and cashback via TelUs HealthCycle to work schemeHot food canteen (Warrington only)Staff shop with lots of food freebies!Gousto is for everyone: Whether it’s creating diversity in our recipes or building new teams, we care about our people and the opportunities they have at Gousto.
