Support Worker – Adults with Learning Disabilities Location: East London Pay: £12.71 per hour Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00am–3:00pm Weekends: No weekend working Job Type: Flexible agency work Austin Dean Recruitment is looking for compassionate and experienced Support Workers to support adults with learning disabilities across day centres and activity hubs in East London. What We Offer * Regular and flexible weekday shifts * No evening or weekend working * Weekly pay every Friday, subject to approved timesheets * A dedicated recruitment consultant as your main point of contact * Friendly and professional ongoing support * Potential opportunities to secure permanent employment, subject to availability and eligibility Your Responsibilities As a Support Worker, you will: * Support adults with learning disabilities in structured day-service environments * Assist individuals with daily activities and community-based programmes * Encourage participation, social interaction and the development of life skills * Promote independence, choice, dignity and wellbeing * Provide person-centred support based on each individual’s needs * Follow care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures * Work collaboratively with families, colleagues and other professionals * Maintain accurate records and report any concerns appropriately Essential Requirements Applicants must have: * At least 24 months of UK experience within health and social care * NVQ Level 2 or above in Health and Social Care * An Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service * Up-to-date mandatory training certificates * Current Epilepsy Awareness training * Current Safeguarding Adults and Safeguarding Children training * The legal right to work in the UK * Good communication and interpersonal skills * A caring, reliable and proactive approach Apply Today If you are an experienced and dedicated Support Worker looking for flexible weekday hours and meaningful work in East London, we would love to hear from you.
