Day rate: Up to £400 per day

Type: TemporaryA large andplex organisation in Devon is seeking an experienced interim Senior Tax Manager to lead its tax function and provide strategic tax leadership across a diverse group structure.Reporting to the Director of Finance, this is a senior leadership role responsible for all aspects of taxpliance, reporting,ernance and advisory services. You will lead a specialist team, support year-end and audit processes, and act as the organisation's subject matter expert on tax matters.The RoleKey responsibilities will include:
  • Leading and developing the Tax Team, promoting high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Overseeing all taxpliance and reporting activities, ensuring adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Managing taxputations and supporting the preparation of financial statements for subsidiary entities.
  • Supporting year-end processes and working closely with external auditors.
  • Reviewing and enhancing tax policies, procedures and controls.
  • Identifying tax-saving opportunities and advising on tax-efficient structures and approaches.
  • Acting as the organisation's technical expert on tax legislation and regulatory developments.
  • Providing proactive tax advice to senior stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Producing high-quality reporting and analysis to support decision-making andernance requirements.
  • Representing Finance at internalmittees and working groups.
  • About YouTo be successful, you will have:
  • A recognised CCAB accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent).
  • A recognised tax qualification and/or significant tax accounting experience.
  • Strong technical tax knowledge gained within a large orplex organisation.
  • Experience preparing taxputations and ensuring regulatorypliance.
  • Previous experience leading and developing teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management andmunication skills.
  • The ability to explainplex tax matters to non-finance audiences.
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems skills.
  • Desirable Experience
  • Education, charity or not-for-profit sector experience.
  • Knowledge of charity and/or education sector tax legislation.
  • International tax exposure.
  • Experience leading business change, process improvement or transformation projects.
