Electrical Engineer  Location: Disley Industry: Heavy Manufacturing Salary: £57,000 Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (2 days, 2 nights) - 7 rotations followed by an 18-day break Our client is a well-established, large-scale manufacturing business. Due to continued investment and a strong focus on reliability and asset performance, they are now seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join their engineering team at their Disley site. This is a long-term, stable opportunity offering job security, excellent work-life balance, and ongoing training and development within a supportive engineering environment.   The Role This is a hands-on, plant-based role with a strong focus on electrical maintenance, supported by basic mechanical PPM and troubleshooting where fault finding, and reliability improvement required. You will play a key role in implementing condition-based maintenance strategies to maximise equipment availability and efficiency across the site.   Key Responsibilities Carry out electrical maintenance and fault finding on plant equipment including motors, drives, and control panels Diagnose and rectify faults on Distributed Control Systems (DCS) Interrogate PLCs for fault finding and basic condition monitoring Plan, schedule, and complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities Support basic mechanical maintenance tasks such as belts, bearings, seals, and lubrication (CIL) Ensure all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety regulations and safe systems of work   Shift Pattern 4 on / 4 off 2 days followed by 2 nights 7 repetitions per cycle Followed by an 18-day break This pattern offers an excellent balance between work and personal time.   What We're Looking For Recognised Electrical qualification (HNC, NVQ Level 3+, or equivalent) Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding background Good working knowledge of instrumentation systems (apprenticeship time-served preferred) Experience interrogating PLCs for diagnostics Experience with AC & DC variable speed drives Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and instrumentation diagrams Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to support mechanical tasks when required Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure Solid understanding of Health & Safety standards within a manufacturing environment   Benefits Competitive salary Company pension scheme Life assurance Free company products Discounts on food, retail, holidays, cinema, and gyms Employee wellness programmes including: Employee Assistance Programme OnDemand GP service Free early access to pay scheme Salary sacrifice schemes Employee referral scheme Ongoing training and development opportunities   If you're an experienced Electrical Engineer or E&I Technician looking for a secure role within a large, reputable manufacturer, with excellent time off and long-term prospects, this is an opportunity not to be missed
