Field Service Technician / Plant Fitter – Construction Machinery Stourport‑based | Field‑based across the region We’re recruiting a skilled Field Service Technician / Plant Fitter to join a growing construction machinery aftersales team. You’ll be supporting customers across Stourport, the West Midlands, Shropshire and parts of the Southwest, carrying out servicing, diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of construction machinery. The Role As a field‑based technician, you’ll work on a variety of equipment including excavators, wheel loaders, dumpers, rollers and telehandlers. Your work will include: * Routine servicing and planned maintenance * Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault‑finding * Breakdowns and on‑site repairs at customer locations * Pre‑delivery inspections, warranty work and LOLER tasks * Representing market‑leading construction machinery brands Ideal Candidate * Apprenticeship, NVQ, City & Guilds or similar in Plant Maintenance * Experience working on construction machinery (excavators, loaders, dumpers, rollers, telehandlers etc.) * Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical knowledge * Agricultural machinery or HGV experience also considered * Comfortable working to dealer‑level standards * Customer‑focused with strong communication skills * Full UK driving licence Benefits This role offers more than just a job — it’s a chance to develop your skills, gain manufacturer‑level training and progress within a large, well‑established machinery group. * Competitive hourly rate (negotiable based on experience) * Door‑to‑door pay * Overtime at time and a half * Joining / signing‑on bonus * New company van + fuel card * Full manufacturer training * Master Technician pathways with additional monthly bonuses * Clear career progression opportunities * 23.5 days’ holiday + bank holidays (increasing with service) * Holiday purchase scheme
