About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced compliance professional to join a well-established and rapidly growing consumer finance business as a Regulatory Compliance Team Manager . This is a key second-line role reporting to the Head of Compliance, with responsibility for leading a small team and ensuring the effective delivery of compliance monitoring, regulatory advice, policy management, and risk oversight activities. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining a robust compliance framework while supporting the business in meeting its regulatory obligations and delivering positive customer outcomes. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach and develop a small Compliance team Manage the delivery of the Compliance Monitoring Plan Review and challenge compliance outputs, ensuring consistency and quality Oversee the identification, escalation and remediation of compliance issues Support the maintenance of policies, procedures and regulatory controls Provide practical regulatory advice and guidance across the business Monitor regulatory developments and support change implementation Produce compliance reporting for senior management and governance forums Promote a strong compliance culture throughout the organisation About You You will be an experienced compliance professional with a background in consumer credit, lending, or a similar FCA-regulated environment. Essential Experience Regulatory compliance experience within financial services Experience managing, mentoring or developing team members Conducting compliance monitoring reviews and providing meaningful challenge Supporting regulatory change initiatives and compliance improvements Producing clear, practical and risk-based compliance advice Knowledge & Skills Strong understanding of FCA regulation, including Consumer Duty, CONC, SYSC and PRIN Knowledge of the Consumer Credit Act and data protection requirements Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Strong analytical and organisational abilities High attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to balance regulatory requirements with commercial objectives What’s on Offer?
