About the CompanyOur client is a well-backed energy infrastructure developer focused on the development, financing and delivery of clean energy and power infrastructure assets across international markets.The business is operating in a high-growth segment of the energy transition and is supported by a strong institutional shareholder base. With an expanding pipeline of projects across renewable and grid-related infrastructure, the company is now looking to appoint a Financial Modelling Manager to play a central role across investment appraisal, project finance, commercial analysis and strategic decision-making.The RoleThe Financial Modelling Manager will be responsible for building, maintaining and improving complex financial models across the company’s development and investment pipeline. The role will support live project finance processes, investment decisions, commercial structuring, bid activity, portfolio analysis and long-term strategic planning.This is a highly visible position, working closely with senior stakeholders across investment, development, commercial, finance and project delivery teams.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild, maintain and enhance complex project finance models for energy infrastructure assets.Support investment appraisal through valuation analysis, returns analysis, scenario modelling and sensitivity testing.Develop financial models covering assumptions such as capex, opex, revenue structures, debt sizing, tax, inflation, construction timelines and exit scenarios.Support project finance, refinancing and funding processes, including lender due diligence, adviser coordination and model review.Prepare analysis for investment committee papers, board materials, lender presentations and internal approval processes.Review and challenge commercial, technical and financial assumptions across live and pipeline projects.Support bid processes, M&A opportunities and strategic investment decisions.Work with internal teams to assess project economics, risk allocation, financing structures and value creation opportunities.Maintain modelling best practice across the business, ensuring models are robust, transparent, flexible and suitable for internal and external stakeholders.Provide analytical support across portfolio planning, capital allocation, cash flow forecasting and strategic growth initiatives.Candidate ProfileStrong financial modelling experience gained within renewable energy, infrastructure, project finance, investment banking, advisory, corporate finance or an energy infrastructure developer.Experience building or reviewing project finance models for infrastructure or energy assets.Good understanding of project finance, debt sizing, valuation, IRR, NPV, DSCR, scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis.Strong Excel capability and ability to build models from scratch.Commercially minded, with the ability to translate financial analysis into clear recommendations.Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams.Comfortable working with senior stakeholders, lenders, advisers and internal project teams.Experience across renewables, power, grid, transmission, storage or wider energy infrastructure would be beneficial.Discipline(s): Energy Finance, Corporate and ProfessionalJob type: Permanent
