Where will you be working?

We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards.

We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.

This role will be within our

Demand management and network infrastructure team.

We look after 60 million meters and our teams provide advanced metering solutions to help manage demand for essential suppliers.

What will you be doing? Day to day you'll lead and manage the Desktop Supervisor Team, ensuring the effective delivery of critical support services to frontline operational teams.

You'll responsible for people management, performance oversight, safety compliance, work approval processes, asset management, reporting, and the continuous improvement of operational processes.

We'll need you to provide leadership and direction to ensure operational activities are completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company standards while driving innovation to support wider business objectives.

You'll coordinate and oversee support activities that enable operational teams to perform effectively and efficiently and ensure work is processed, approved, and completed in line with business policies, procedures, and performance standards.

We'll need you to manage, motivate, and develop a team of operational support colleagues.

You'll ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and operational targets are achieved as well as implementing actions to improve efficiency, quality, and customer outcomes.

You'll promote a strong safety culture and support investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives and make sure all operational approvals are completed in line with relevant safety and governance requirements.

We'll need you to build strong working relationships with operational managers, support functions, and external partners, Planning & Scheduling, Call Centre and other functions.

What you’ll bring

Do you have proven experience in team leadership and people management? We're looking for someone to motivate and help people succeed.

Have you got experience working within an operational support, utilities, field operations, or service delivery environment?

Do you have strong performance management and reporting skills as well as knowledge of health and safety requirements and safe systems of work?

Do you have experience managing multiple priorities and workstreams?

Are you someone with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills as well as having strong analytical and problem-solving abilities?

Are you proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and reporting tools?
