Mechanical Engineer

Location: Blackpool Salary: £38,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time GoFind Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and highly interesting industrial business in Blackpool that is looking to recruit a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their maintenance team during an exciting period of growth. You will support the ongoing maintenance, inspection, and reliability of complex mechanical systems and heavy-duty equipment within a high-footfall operational environment. This role is focused on ensuring assets operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime through proactive maintenance and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on position, offering long-term stability, structured hours, and the opportunity to work in a technically challenging environment. The Role: - Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on large-scale mechanical systems at hight - Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults using structured problem-solving techniques - Perform inspections, testing, and condition monitoring to ensure operational safety and compliance - Support installation, commissioning, and modification of mechanical equipment - Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation - Work collaboratively with electrical and controls engineers to ensure seamless operation - Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability and performance - Ensure adherence to health & safety standards and engineering best practices About You: - Level 3 Mechanical qualification (essential) - Proven experience maintaining heavy machinery - Comfortable working at height (highly advantageous) - Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills - Reliable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented What’s on Offer: - Competitive salary up to £38,000 - Mostly weekday working pattern (7.00am - 3.00pm) - Occasional weekend work during peak operational periods - Opportunity to work with unique and complex mechanical systems - Supportive engineering team environment - Secure, long-term role with a reputable employer - Support throughout the recruitment process from an experienced consultant About GoFind Recruitment: At GoFind Recruitment, we believe recruitment is about more than filling vacancies , it’s about building long-term relationships.
