Location: London, with regular travel to Oxford and Thame
Owen Reed is looking to recruit a Facilities Supervisor to join a leading professional services firm. Working closely with the Facilities Manager, you will support the efficient, effective and cost-conscious delivery of building and facilities services across the London, Oxford and Thame offices.
You will supervise the local facilities teams, oversee daily site operations and ensure that consistently high service standards are maintained across all locations. Regular travel between the offices is an essential part of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the local facilities teams, ensuring adequate staffing and consistently high operational standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure offices, equipment, recycling points and confidential waste facilities are clean and properly maintained.
- Resolve day-to-day facilities issues, escalating significant matters to the Facilities Manager or Facilities Director.
- Coordinate contractors and ensure that all works are completed safely, satisfactorily and on time.
- Support lifecycle maintenance programmes and wider building and property services.
- Manage service procedures, SLAs, tenant matters and project works as directed.
- Act as a key point of contact for employees and location-related issues.
- Help maintain consistent facilities services and supplies across the firm’s offices.
- Support energy management, carbon-reduction and environmental initiatives.
- Produce management reports covering areas such as occupancy, vehicle use and expenditure on consumables.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant facilities technologies, legislation and best practice.
- Support health and safety compliance, including general and fire-risk assessments where required.
- Monitor and improve facilities services while operating within agreed budgets.
- Approve invoices within delegated authority limits and submit them for payment.
- Provide cover at other firm locations when required.
About You
- Previous experience in a similar facilities role, ideally within a multi-site environment.
- Essential experience managing soft facilities services.
- Previous team-supervision or leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety and welfare regulations.
- IOSH and/or NEBOSH qualification would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative, hands-on and service-focused approach. xwzovoh
