We’re working with a growing pharmaceutical manufacturer entering a major phase of investment, modernisation, and site development.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior / Lead Maintenance Engineer with leadership experience who’s ready to step into an Engineering Manager role , while still staying close to the technical side.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of both maintenance and capital projects , leading a small engineering team while driving improvements across the facility.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading maintenance strategy and reliability improvements
• Managing and delivering Capex projects
• Acting as the site’s engineering authority
• Supporting GMP compliance and quality standards
• Working cross-functionally across the site
• Remaining hands-on when needed

What We’re Looking For

We’re open to candidates who are either experienced managers or stepping up from a maintenance leadership role.

Key requirements:

• Engineering qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or similar)
• Experience in a GMP pharmaceutical environment (essential)
• Background in maintenance and/or Capex projects
• Leadership or supervisory experience
• Hands-on, proactive approach

Desirable:

• Experience in sterile / aseptic environments
• Knowledge of utilities (HVAC, clean steam, compressed air, purified water)
