Senior Sous Chef Role Overview The Senior Sous Chef will support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen. The successful Senior Sous Chef will ensure consistency, quality, and leadership across all sections.
This position suits a confident Senior Sous Chef with a background in 2 AA Rosette kitchens or higher.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Sous Chef: Support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen team.
Maintain high standards across all sections and services.
Assist in menu development using seasonal ingredients.
Train and develop junior chefs within the brigade.
Ensure full compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
Step up and run the kitchen in the Head Chefs absence.
Key Requirements for the Senior Sous Chef: Strong experience as a Senior Sous Chef or Sous Chef in a 2 AA Rosette kitchen or higher.
Several years experience at 2 Rosette level or above is essential.
Proven leadership and kitchen management ability.
Passion for high-quality food and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure in a busy, fine dining kitchen.
Stable background within quality establishments preferred.
