About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Assembly / Warehouse Operative to join a busy manufacturing and warehouse environment on a temporary-to-permanent basis.
The role will involve a combination of order picking, stock handling, preparing components and basic assembly work. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a long-term position who is happy to get stuck in and support different areas of the operation.
Key Responsibilities
* Pick and prepare products, components and materials from warehouse locations.
* Accurately pick orders against picking lists and instructions.
* Check product codes, quantities and specifications before dispatch or assembly.
* Carry out basic assembly of products and components.
* Use hand tools and basic equipment where required.
* Follow assembly instructions and production specifications.
* Ensure assembled products meet required quality standards.
* Pack completed products safely and securely.
* Label and prepare goods for dispatch.
* Move stock and materials around the warehouse safely.
* Load and unload deliveries when required.
* Maintain accurate stock and picking records.
* Carry out stock checks and report discrepancies.
* Keep the warehouse and assembly areas clean, tidy and organised.
* Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
* Support the wider production and warehouse teams as required.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience in assembly, warehouse, picking, production or manufacturing.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience working from picking lists, instructions or specifications.
Good understanding of product codes and stock identification.
Ability to carry out repetitive tasks while maintaining quality.
Good manual dexterity and practical ability.
Comfortable using basic hand tools.
Ability to work at pace and meet deadlines.
A reliable and hardworking attitude.
Good Health & Safety awareness.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
