Stock Controller, Middlewich, Permanent, £26,000 – £27,500 DOE
We are currently recruiting for a highly organised and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join our clients team based on the outskirts of Middlewich. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong inventory management and stock control experience, who is looking to join a small, close nit and supportive team environment. Daily duties include…
* Managing stock for engineers out on the road, including their tools, uniform and warehouse inventory
* Overseeing the distribution of equipment
* Ensuring stock is allocated in a cost-efficient manner and not over ordering goods
* Reviewing and approving stock requests from engineers
* Maintaining accurate records and databases for all stock and equipment
* Reconciling stock and reporting any discrepancies
* Track stock usage and arrange returns of unused items to suppliers
* Raising and managing purchase orders, including updating costs and delivery times
* Negotiate with suppliers to improve costings
* Liaising with suppliers and internal teams regarding stock requirements
* Ensuring timely replenishment of goods to meet organisational needs
* Produce reports for management meetings
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a stock control position and ideally, they will have previous purchasing experience too. A strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential along with strong IT skills. Working hours are 8.30-4.30, Monday to Friday. Excellent company benefits and free onsite parking available.
