LV/AP Tester (Site-Based) Location: Central & West London Salary: Up to £70,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + Healthcare + Bonus + Pension + Travel Employment Type: Permanent Hours: Full-Time The Opportunity We are seeking experienced LV/AP Testers to join a leading electrical engineering team working across major commercial fit-out and data centre projects in Central and West London. The successful candidates will have a strong background in electrical inspection and testing, with previous experience carrying out the LV/AP Tester role on live construction projects. Day-rate opportunities may also be available for suitably qualified and experienced candidates. Key Responsibilities Carry out electrical inspection and testing of LV electrical installations. Undertake energisation and de-energisation activities in accordance with authorised procedures. Complete electrical testing, certification and associated documentation accurately. Ensure all testing and installation works comply with BS7671 Wiring Regulations and company procedures. Follow safe systems of work and maintain the highest standards of health and safety. Assist with fault finding, verification and commissioning of electrical installations. Work closely with engineers, supervisors, commissioning teams and other site personnel. Support the successful delivery of major commercial fit-out and data centre projects. Maintain accurate records of testing and commissioning activities. Ensure all work is completed to the required quality, safety and compliance standards. Requirements City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) in Inspection & Testing. Current BS7671 Wiring Regulations qualification (18th Edition or equivalent). Previous experience working specifically as an LV/AP Tester. Proven experience carrying out electrical inspection and testing on commercial projects. Experience within commercial fit-out and/or data centre environments. Strong understanding of LV electrical systems, testing procedures and safe energisation practices. Valid ECS/JIB Electrician Card. Good knowledge of electrical installation standards and health & safety requirements. Ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team. Strong communication, organisational and documentation skills. Desirable Existing LV Authorised Person (AP) experience. Previous experience on large-scale commercial fit-out projects. Data centre experience. Experience working on complex LV systems and commissioning environments. Full UK Driving Licence. What's on Offer Salary up to £70,000. £5,000 Car Allowance. Healthcare.
