Job ID: 17106Location: GlasgowType: Full TimeSalary: GBP Up to 52,000 per yearPosted: 2026-10-27This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a well-established business in a broad and varied Management Accountant role. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will take ownership of the management accounts process, balance sheet reconciliations, tax compliance and financial reporting across multiple business divisions.This position offers exposure to management accounting, payroll accounting, VAT, CIS, Corporation Tax and multi-currency reporting, whilst providing the opportunity to improve processes and support key business decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.Complete balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.Review and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances.Manage multi-currency reporting and FX movements.Maintain HMRC reconciliations and support VAT, CIS, PAYE and Corporation Tax compliance.Process payroll journals and related reconciliations.Produce weekly debtor and invoicing reports.Support year-end accounts, audits and statutory reporting.Liaise with external auditors, tax advisers and key stakeholders.Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and controls.Support the Head of Finance with ad hoc projects and reporting.The Ideal Candidate Will PossessPart-qualified ACCA or equivalent.Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar role.Strong management accounting and balance sheet reconciliation experience.Good knowledge of VAT, CIS, PAYE and Corporation Tax.Experience using ERP systems such as SAP or similar.Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.Excellent organisational and communication skills.Ability to work independently, prioritise workload and meet deadlines.In return, the business offers a broad and hands-on role with exposure to all areas of finance, alongside the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and contribute to the continued growth of the finance function.If you’re looking for your next challenge within a supportive and growing business, we’d be delighted to hear from you.
