This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Supervisor who enjoys leading from the front, maintaining high standards of safety and quality, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. The successful Civil Supervisor will play a key role in supporting site operations while mentoring teams and driving project success.The RoleAs a Civil Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of site operatives, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications, company procedures and client requirements. You will work closely with Site Managers, Engineers and Commercial teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate daily activities of civil engineering site teams.Organise daily workloads and allocate tasks to operatives.Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.Ensure works are completed in line with programme requirements.Monitor progress and provide regular updates to Site Management.Prepare and issue daily work instructions and site briefings.Complete Daily Point of Work Risk Assessments and briefing records.Maintain accurate records of labour, plant and daily site activities.Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and submitted on time.Promote excellent housekeeping across sites, compounds and company vehicles.Ensure plant, tools and equipment are used safely and maintained correctly.Monitor workmanship and ensure quality standards are achieved.Assist with site measurements when required.Promote and enforce Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.Support the training and development of junior operatives.RequirementsPrevious experience as a Civil Supervisor, General Foreman or similar supervisory role within civil engineering.Strong background delivering civil engineering or infrastructure projects.Valid CSCS Card.Excellent leadership and communication skills.Ability to organise teams and manage programme deadlines.Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe systems of work.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Full UK Driving Licence.Right to work in the UK.DesirableSSSTS or SMSTS.Street Works (NRSWA).CPCS Dumper and Roller.EUSR Card.Experience working on utilities, infrastructure or highways projects.What's on Offer?Competitive salary.Company vehicle.Private healthcare.Company pension.Employee Assistance Programme.Ongoing training and professional development.Long-term career progression.Supportive and collaborative working environment.Opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.If you're an ambitious Civil Supervisor looking to take the next step in your career with a growing civil engineering contractor, we'd love to hear from you.
