The school supports young people with autism and additional learning needs, providing a structured and nurturing environment where staff work collaboratively to support both academic progress and personal development. As an SEN Unqualified Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet individual learning needs. You will work closely with teaching assistants and the wider SEN team to promote engagement, positive behaviour and independence. The role also involves supporting students’ social and emotional development and maintaining a safe, consistent classroom environment. To be successful, you should have strong classroom experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN or alternative provision setting. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is not required, but confidence in leading lessons, strong behaviour management and a genuine commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs are essential.
