Theatre Practitioner

CPL in partnership with a leading private hospital in Maidstone, Kent is looking for a passionate and patient-focused Theatre Practitioner to join its Theatre team.

About the Role

As Theatre Practitioner, you will be an integral part of the peri-operative team, supporting safe and effective surgical care across scrub, anaesthetics, and/or recovery . You will play a key role in ensuring smooth theatre workflow and outstanding patient outcomes throughout their surgical journey.

You’ll support excellent patient experiences throughout the peri-operative journey while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality patient care
• Complete theatre safety checks and documentation
• Maintain infection prevention and control standards
• Support effective communication across departments
• Participate in clinical governance and continuous improvement
• Contribute to training and supporting colleagues and students
• Take part in on-call and out-of-hours services

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP)
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of clinical governance
• Commitment to professional development
• Passionate about delivering outstanding patient care

Desirable

• Experience in scrub, anaesthetics, or recovery
• Acute hospital theatre experience
• Leadership or mentoring experience
