About the role
Echelon Engineers is recruiting a Quality Inspector for a well-established engineering and manufacturing business. You will ensure incoming parts and finished goods meet specification and quality standards across the full supply chain, from goods in through to final despatch.

Key Responsibilities
Inspect incoming parts and materials against technical drawings and specifications
Evaluate fabricated, machined, and secondary-processed components
Conduct supplier audits and inspect work-in-progress at supplier sites
Inspect assembled products and finished goods prior to despatch
Maintain accurate inspection records and prepare quality reports
Identify recurring quality issues and support CAPA processes
Liaise with Purchasing, Stores, Engineering, Assembly, and Despatch teams
Essential Skills & Experience
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Good knowledge of machining, fabrication, and manufacturing processes
Experienced with micrometres, digital callipers, height gauges, and surface xwzovoh roughness equipment
Solid understanding of quality standards and inspection methodologies
Meticulous attention to detail and a logical approach to problem-solving
Qualifications
Minimum NVQ Level 3 in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
Quality assurance or inspection experience (advantageous)
ISO 9001 knowledge (advantageous)
