Weaving Technician

£40,000 | Permanent | Bradford

I'm working with a well-established textiles manufacturer in Bradford who is looking to recruit an experienced Weaving Technician to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong practical weaving experience, particularly in loom setting, adjustments and fault finding, to join a well-established manufacturing operation.

The role:

* Setting, adjusting and supporting industrial weaving looms.

* Diagnosing and resolving loom faults and weaving issues.

* Supporting production starts, changeovers and loom settings.

* Identifying recurring faults and helping improve production efficiency and fabric quality.

* Working closely with the quality and production teams.

* Carrying out preventative maintenance checks.

* Sharing technical knowledge and supporting the development of other team members.

What we're looking for:

* Previous experience as a Weaving Technician or similar.

* Strong practical loom-setting and fault-finding skills.

* Good understanding of woven fabrics, yarn behaviour and weaving defects.

* Experience with Jacquard and/or Dobby weaving.

* Experience with Rapier and/or Airjet looms.

* Picanol or Dornier experience would be advantageous, although transferable loom experience will be considered.

Working hours:

Rotating double-day shifts:

* Week 1: Monday–Friday, 6am–2pm.

* Week 2: Monday–Thursday, 2pm–10pm.

* Every second Friday off!

Average 33.75 paid hours per week, with NO night shifts.
