Digital Technical Business Analyst  Hybrid – Attached to our Solihull, London or Hook office  Full Time, Permanent    Band 4 / Competitive Salary (dependent on experience)Here at Serco, we’re looking for a Digital Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in shaping, defining, and delivering integrated digital solutions that enable organisations to operate with agility, compliance, and clarity.Working across business strategy and technology delivery, you will translate complex, multi-platform ecosystems into clear, actionable requirements that drive measurable business outcomes.You’ll be part of the UK & Europe Digital Services team, reporting to the Head of Business Analysis Practice, and collaborating closely with stakeholders, architects, engineers, and delivery partners.As part of this you’ll:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to elicit, document, and validate business and technical requirementsTranslate business needs into user stories, functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and process flowsFacilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to align stakeholders and gather insightsOperate effectively within a matrix organisation, balancing competing priorities across teamsContribute to the Business Analysis capability, supporting standards, tools, and continuous improvementParticipate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectivesPartner with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and engineering teams to support iterative deliveryConduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and feasibility studiesSupport User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including planning, execution, and defect managementContribute to change management, business readiness, and stakeholder communicationsEnsure compliance with regulatory, data privacy, cybersecurity, and internal controlsWhat you’ll need to do the role:Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst in a digital or technology-driven environmentStrong understanding of Agile delivery models and iterative developmentExperience working in fast-paced, matrixed organisations with diverse stakeholdersProficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOpsKnowledge of SQL and relational databasesFamiliarity with APIs, system integrations, and cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)Experience creating process models and documentation (e.g. Visio)Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skillsAnalytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability and commercial awarenessSC clearance (or willingness to obtain)What we offer:Flexible working consideredPension – 6%Chance to contribute to innovation in the public servicesA company passionate about diversity and inclusionSerco discounts which include cinema, merlin entertainment and online shopping discounts, and discounts on mobile phone plans and leisure centre memberships.A range of benefits to support the health and wellbeing of you and your family such as Employee Assistance Programme, Simply Health Cash Plans, and more.A wealth of career development training to suit your future aspirations.
