The mainboard has 4 standing committees Audit & Risk, Development & Growth,Tenant & Client Services and Finance.
The Opportunity We are seeking acommitteemember for the Audit & Riskcommitteewith legalexpertiseto provide assurance on relevant risk identification and management and to inform the organisations legal risk appetite.
This appointment will strengthen the Committees ability to foresee,qualifyand mitigate legal and regulatory risk to protect our tenants, their communities, ourpartnersand the Choice Group.
The role requires: Aqualified solicitor or barrister with demonstrable experience in contracts, regulatory compliance,orprocurement within complex organisations.
Board-level risk oversight capability, including risk-appetite setting, internalcontrolsand incident response governance.
Ideally,priorexposure (or knowledge of) charity or public-sector governance, including oversight of internal & external audit and assurance mapping.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an organisation with the ambition, scale, and resources of Choice.
The role will appeal to individuals who recognise the vital contribution that quality social and affordable housing makes to society.
Board appointments are non-remunerated and require a commitment to attend approximately six meetings per annum.
