About the role

Plant & Fleet Fitter As a plant & fleet fitter, you will play a key role in maintaining the reliability and safety of our specialist plant and fleet. Based at our Wigan workshop, you will work within a skilled team responsible for servicing and repairing a wide range of equipment, including cranes, lifting systems, HGV's, and associated plant . This is a practical, hands-on role offering variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to work on specialist equipment that supports projects across the UK and Europe. Key Responsibilites as a Plant & Fleet Fitter: * Service, maintain and repair specialist equipment including mobile cranes, heavy forklifts, hydraulic gantry systems and lifting gear. * Carry out maintenance on HGV's, trailers, generators, lighting towers, and small plant * Diagonse faults across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems * Support breakdown response across the UK when required * Ensure all work is completed in line with safety, quality, and compliance standards. This list is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be required in line with business needs. Essential Experience and Skills as a Plant & Fleet Fitter: * Experience maintaining and troubleshooting heavy plant equipment * recogised apprenticeship or qualification in a mechanical or engineering discipline * Practical, hands-on approach with a focus on getting the job done properly * A postive, team-focused attitude with strong communication skills * Strong awareness of health and safety procedures * Ability to use large workshop equipment * Reliable, punctual, and motivated with 'can-do' attitude * Organised, safety-conscious, and committed to quality * Full Uk Driving License
