About the role
We are working with a leading renewable energy developer to recruit a Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of a portfolio of utility-scale renewable energy projects across the UK.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead projects from late-stage development through procurement, construction, commissioning and handover. You'll work across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
The Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the successful delivery of major renewable energy projects, providing leadership across project execution, commercial management, governance and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of utility-scale wind, solar and energy storage projects from development through to operation.
- Manage project programmes, budgets, risks and governance to ensure successful delivery.
- Coordinate the transition from development into construction, ensuring technical, commercial and delivery risks are effectively managed.
- Oversee procurement activities and manage major construction and supplier contracts.
- Monitor project performance, forecasting, cost control and reporting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, landowners, regulators and key stakeholders.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams across engineering, construction, commercial and project controls.
- Promote a strong culture of health, safety, environmental and quality compliance.
- Support project commissioning and handover into operations.
About You
You'll have experience delivering large-scale infrastructure or renewable energy projects and be comfortable managing complex, multi-disciplinary teams in a client-facing environment.
You'll ideally have experience with:
- Utility-scale renewable energy or major infrastructure projects.
- Project delivery across both development and construction phases.
- Contract and commercial management, including EPC or major construction contracts.
- Budget management, forecasting and cost control.
- Programme management, governance and risk management.
- Stakeholder management across contractors, consultants, landowners and regulatory bodies.
- UK planning, grid, permitting and construction environments.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Engineering, Construction, Project Management or a related discipline.
- Professional membership with a recognised industry body is desirable.
