On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Finance Manager to play a central role in supporting the financial function as the organisation expands. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role covers both UK and US finance responsibilities and requires strong systems, accurate reporting, and clear financial insight.
This is a permanent, part-time position working 2.5 days per week. The role is hybrid, with occasional travel to Bristol.
Responsibilities will include:
Oversee financial policies and systems, including controls, budgeting, and reporting procedures.
Prepare annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with the Director of Operations.
Manage bookkeeping and cash flow, including invoices, payroll, payments, and monthly bank reconciliations using QuickBooks and Dext.
Produce management accounts, financial statements, project budgets, and cash-flow forecasts for staff and the Board.
Support fundraising activity and grant reporting by attending funding meetings and providing financial data for applications.
Coordinate with external accountants and auditors to support the annual audit and ensure compliance with Companies House and the Charity Commission.
Handle US finance duties, including bookkeeping, grant payments, and IRS reporting requirements.
Contribute to risk management and investment strategy by maintaining the risk register and advising on reserve investments.
The Person
The ideal candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented finance manager . You will be confident working across a broad range of charity finance duties and comfortable supporting both operational and strategic needs.
A-Level or degree-level education, or equivalent relevant experience.
AAT qualification or part-qualified accountant status.
Charity accounting experience, including SORP knowledge and exposure to UK and US regulatory requirements.
Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and using QuickBooks.
The Hours
Part-time, permanent, 2.5 days per week, approximately 20 hours. xwzovoh

£38,000£42,000 pro rata, dependent on experience.
