Electrical Lead

About the Role
A growing renewable energy business is looking for an Electrical Lead to oversee its electrical operations, with a focus on commercial, industrial and utility-scale Solar PV projects.
You will lead and develop the electrical and commissioning teams, oversee technical compliance and support projects from design and grid connections through to commissioning and energisation.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop the electrical and commissioning teams.
*
Ensure electrical works meet relevant UK regulations and standards.
*
Manage DNO relationships, G99 testing and grid energisation.
*
Oversee HV/LV commissioning and support project delivery.
*
Review electrical designs, RAMS and technical documentation.
*
Develop electrical procedures and support the growth of the department.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
*
At least 4 years' experience delivering commercial, industrial or utility-scale Solar PV projects, including construction and commissioning, with recent project experience within the last 3 years.
*
Experience leading and managing electrical teams.
*
Strong knowledge of DNO requirements, G99 testing and grid connections.
*
Practical HV experience, including working within DNO safe systems of work.
*
Experience reviewing subcontractor RAMS and technical documentation.
*
Level 3 electrical qualification or degree/HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering.
*
18th Edition BS 7671, or willingness to obtain it within 3 months of starting.
*
IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH, SMSTS or equivalent.
*
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
*
Experience in BESS construction and commissioning.
*
HV Authorised Person qualification.
*
C&G 2922 Solar PV or C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing.
*
Knowledge of SCADA, inverter communications and monitoring systems.
