About the role
Are you an experienced Finance Manager with expertise in group reporting, international finance operations and multi-entity accounting?Join an award-winning independent games publisher behind some of the industry's most successful and innovative titles. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within a growing international business, supporting financial operations across multiple territories while helping drive process improvement and financial excellence.About the roleReporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting across a group of international entities. You'll oversee month-end processes, consolidations, cashflow planning, royalty reporting and day-to-day finance operations, while supporting the continued growth of a dynamic business operating across multiple markets.This role offers exposure to international finance, commercial partnerships and the unique commercial structures associated with game publishing and royalty-based businesses.What you'll doDeliver accurate and timely month-end reporting across the group.Prepare and review accruals, prepayments, journals and other month-end adjustments.Produce monthly group consolidations across UK and international entities.Coordinate with overseas finance teams to ensure reporting deadlines are met.Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.Reconcile intercompany accounts and resolve discrepancies.Support weekly and monthly cashflow forecasting and planning.Prepare monthly and quarterly royalty statements for development partners.Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.Manage sales invoices, purchase invoices and purchase orders.Review and reconcile bank and credit card accounts.Prepare weekly payment runs and monthly payroll payments.Coordinate with finance providers across multiple countries.Prepare quarterly VAT returns.Analyse departmental spending against budgets and forecasts.Produce financial reports and analysis for department heads.Support annual audits across multiple entities.Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting efficiency.Assist the Finance Director with ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives.What we're looking forExperience Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).Experience within a fast-growing business environment.Experience managing finances across multiple legal entities.Experience working with multiple currencies and international operations.Experience partnering with stakeholders across different levels of an organisation.SkillsStrong financial reporting and consolidation experience.Excellent understanding of month-end accounting processes.Strong cashflow forecasting and financial planning skills.Advanced Excel skills.Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.Ability to prioritise effectively and meet tight deadlines.Hands-on, proactive approach to problem-solving.Nice to haveExperience within the games industry or similar royalty-based businesses.Understanding of developer royalties, advances and publishing agreements.Experience using Xero accounting software.Experience supporting international growth businesses.Working style / behavioursHighly organised and detail-oriented.Commercially aware and analytical.Proactive and comfortable working independently.Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.Adaptable and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.Continuous improvement mindset.Why join?Join a growing and highly respected games publisher.Work with international teams across multiple territories.Exposure to major platform and industry partners.Significant opportunity to influence financial processes and operations.Hybrid working with a collaborative London office environment.Be part of an exciting period of growth and upcoming releases.BenefitsHybrid working (Tuesday & Thursday office days)Company pension matched up to 5%Discretionary annual bonusPrivate medical insurance including dental, optical and hearing coverEmployee Assistance ProgrammeEmployee discounts platformSocial events and team activitiesCycle to Work schemeFully stocked London office22 days annual leave plus bank holidaysAdditional end-of-year studio closure daysLocation: London, UK (Hybrid, Tuesday & Thursday in office)Employment Type: Full-timeStart Date: ASAPSalary: Up to 60,000 GBP per annumIf you're a qualified Finance Manager looking to combine strong technical accounting expertise with the opportunity to work in a growing international games business, we'd love to hear from you.
