TransportServicesManagerHerefordshireCouncilhavebigambitionsforourbusnetwork.Workingwithallofourbusoperatingcompanies,communitytransport,andotherstakeholderswewanttobuildasmart,integratednetworkofpublictransport,drivenbydata,withthegoalofincreasingpatronageacrossthecounty.Acountywherebusesareconnectedtorail,andmarkettownsarefrequentlyandreliablyconnectedtothecity.Whereruralareasarenotmissingfromthenetworkandwherebusesareusedbyeveryone.
It'sabiggoalandweneedamotivated,dynamicmanagertoleadit.
TransportServicesManagerIfyouareenthusiasticaboutbuildingyourcareerandbuildinganeweraofpublictransportthenthiscouldbetheroleforyou.Youneedtounderstandlocalauthoritiesandbecomfortableworkingwithelectedmembersaswellasofficers,andyoullneedtoworktoraisetheprofileofpublictransportwithyourcolleaguesacrossthewholecouncilaswellastherestofthecounty.
TransportServicesManagerYouwouldbeexpectedtoundertakesupervision,professionaldevelopmentandsupportofyourstaff,whilstalsobuildingateam,thereforedemonstrablepeopleandleadershipattributeswilldefinitelybeneeded.Youwillbeworkingwithinternalcolleagues,externalpartnersandotherproviderstoco-ordinateandmanagevariousprojectsintheseserviceareassoskillsinpartnershipandrelationshipmanagement,projectmanagementandworkingacrossorganisationsareessential.
