CNC Setter / Operator - Machining / Turning CNC Machining, Setting & Turning Location: North Staffordshire Rate: Up to £19 per hour Hours: Monday-Thursday 7am - 5pm, with Friday, Saturday and Sunday overtime available Marmon Lift Recruitment is working with an established manufacturing business seeking an experienced CNC Setter / Operator to join their machining team in North Staffordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and hands-on CNC machinist to join an established manufacturing environment, working with CNC turning equipment and producing components to engineering drawings and required specifications. This role suits someone with a solid manufacturing background who is confident working independently, solving problems, and maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy. CNC Setter / Operator Responsibilities: Set and operate CNC turning machinery Read and interpret engineering drawings Ensure components are produced accurately and to specification Carry out quality checks and identify any issues during production Diagnose and resolve machining and production problems Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment Work independently while contributing effectively as part of the wider manufacturing team Support continuous improvement and contribute ideas for improving processes and efficiency The Ideal CNC Setter / Operator: Previous experience in a CNC machining/manufacturing environment - ESSENTIAL Experience with CNC turning/lathe operations - ESSENTIAL Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings - ESSENTIAL Solid manufacturing background - ESSENTIAL Strong practical problem-solving skills and a drive for innovation - ESSENTIAL Hands-on and proactive attitude with a strong team spirit - ESSENTIAL Ability to work independently and under pressure - ESSENTIAL GCSEs or equivalent - PREFERRED, BUT NOT ESSENTIAL Hours & Overtime: Monday-Thursday: 7am - 5pm - Overtime available Friday: Overtime available Saturday: Overtime available Sunday: Overtime available Pay: Up to £19 per hour, depending on experience Apply for this CNC Setter / Operator role: For further information or a confidential conversation about this opportunity, please contact Harry Lester at MLR Construction and Engineering, part of Marmon Lift Recruitment.
