Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant

This Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant role offers an excellent pathway into secondary education, providing invaluable experience ahead of PGCE, School Direct, or salaried teacher training routes.
You will join a supportive and ambitious secondary school in Brent, working with students aged 11-16 (KS3 & KS4) to raise attainment, build confidence, and support progression in Maths.

The Role
As a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support Maths teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
Deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions for students requiring additional support
Work closely with class teachers to support lesson delivery and learning outcomes
Assist with lesson preparation, resources, and classroom organisation
Promote positive behaviour and maintain a focused learning environment
Support students with classwork, homework, and GCSE exam preparation
Contribute to enrichment activities and wider school life
Person Specification
We are looking for a Maths Graduate who:
Holds a degree in Maths or a closely related subject
Has a genuine interest in education, teaching, and student development
Has experience working with secondary-aged students
(e.g. tutoring, mentoring, volunteering, summer schools, youth work, or prior TA experience)
Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills
Is reliable, proactive, and enthusiastic, with a positive attitude towards learning
