As well as being able to demonstrate the right attitudes, requirements for this position include:HND or Minimum 2:2 degree in a relevant Engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical or Structural Engineering. Aeronautical or Civil Engineering may be consideredKnowledge of fundamental principles in engineering topics including but not limited to loads and load combinations, mechanics, materials, joining techniques and standard detailing, fabrication methods and structural analysis (including the use of Finite Element Method)Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in Excel and/or mathematical modelling will be beneficial, although not essentialAn inquisitive outlook with sound logical reasoning and an ability to produce clear and correct technical reports based on your own workFamiliar with commercial and project management principles, with an interest in developing skills in project planning, budgeting and customer engagementSelf-motivated and organised, with the ability to prioritise competing demands, manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously and deliver against project objectives and deadlinesAble to maintain high standards of safety, quality and performance when working under pressure and to challenging timescalesExcellent interpersonal and team working skills, confident in building professional relationships and ability to demonstrate excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills. Security and compliance with statutory requirements in the countries in which we operate is essential for DNV.
