About the role
Waldorf Astoria London - Admiralty Arch is seeking aCommis Waiter - Coreus by Clare Smyth to join the pre-opening team for this highly anticipated new luxury hotel opening later this year. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced luxury hotelier to join the founding team and help shape the guest experience at this landmark hotel.
Located at the end of The Mall opposite Buckingham Palace, Waldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch will feature 100 elegant rooms and suites and 17,500 sqft of private residences. The hotel will open with two signature restaurants - Coreus by Clare Smyth and Café Boulud by Daniel Boulud - bringing together two of the worlds most celebrated Michelin-starred chefs. Guests will also enjoy a world-class spa, state-of-the-art fitness facilities, and a collection of grand event spaces, including a ballroom for up to 320 guests.

We are looking for hospitality professionals who are passionate about delivering an exceptional fives star guest experience, consistently upholding the worldclass service standards recognised by Forbes.
Here's what you'll do during a typical day: As a Commis Waiter - Coreus by Clare Smyth, you will support the service team in delivering a seamless, polished, and refined dining experience. With a strong emphasis on preparation, precision, and attentiveness, you will play a key role in maintaining the elegance, flow, and operational excellence of the restaurant.
You will perform the following responsibilities to the highest standards of luxury hospitality:
Respond to guest enquiries with courtesy, efficiency, and professional discretion
Demonstrate a working knowledge of menu items, beverages, and service offerings
Follow established reporting and escalation procedures with accuracy and timeliness
Uphold Hilton grooming and presentation standards, including uniform, cleanliness, and personal hygiene
Handle incoming calls professionally, ensuring messages are recorded accurately and relayed promptly
Complete all opening, closing, and side duties efficiently and to defined standards
Maintain all service equipment, crockery, and utensils in immaculate, clean, and polished condition
Ensure cleaning materials and chemicals are correctly requisitioned, stored, and used
Maintain spotless, sanitised service and back - of - house areas throughout and at the conclusion of service
Replenish service supplies, including tableware, glassware, linen, and condiments, as required
Comply fully with hotel security procedures, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislation
What are we looking for? Commis Waiters within Hiltons luxury portfolio demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong foundation in service excellence. To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:

Impeccable grooming and personal presentation
Flexibility to adapt to varying service rhythms and operational demands
The ability to perform effectively both independently and as part of a refined, collaborative team
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
Previous experience within a luxury or ultra - luxury hospitality environment
Knowledge of appropriate table settings, service ware, and fine - dining presentation
Understanding of Food Hygiene and safety regulations
Ability to lift, carry, and transport items up to 50 lbs. within a dynamic restaurant setting
