Contract: 12 Months
Based: Glascoed, NP15 1XL
Hourly Rate: Rate: £28ph PAYE OR £37.61 Umbrella inside IR35
37 hours across a 4 day shift pattern Mon-Thurs 7:15 - 5pm with Fridays off

Overview
BAE Systems is seeking a Process Engineer to join its Engineering team at Glascoed. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer to contribute to the development, manufacture and support of innovative products within a multi-disciplined engineering environment

Skills:
HNC/HND qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
Demonstrable experience in manufacturing process development.
Understanding of project management and risk management tools and techniques.
Awareness of automated process control systems.
Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of quality and delivery.

The Job
Developing new manufacturing processes in line with engineering plans, budgets and customer requirements.
Ensuring manufacturing processes are robust, cost-effective and capable of achieving long-term process stability.
Supporting process risk management activities, including Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), process control plans and Safe Systems of Work.
Specifying, commissioning and qualifying new manufacturing equipment while ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.
Coordinating development activities to generate the data required to support process understanding, equipment selection and material processing requirements.
Managing project process data, including trial results, specifications, drawings, certification and safety documentation through Product Lifecycle Management systems.
