About the role
Specialty Doctor in Ophthalmology – Aberdeen Royal Infirmary
Applications are invited for the position of a Specialty Doctor in Ophthalmology based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. This is a fixed term, full‑time post (40 hours per week) for 12 months with a start date on 5 August 2026 until 3 August 2027.
This post offers excellent opportunities in all aspects of Ophthalmology. The department delivers a wide range of Ophthalmology services and provides an active teaching program. The successful candidate will be expected to work to help achieve the aims of the department and is therefore expected to be experienced in all aspects of General Ophthalmology.
Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC is required. (Licence to practise must be in place prior to starting in post).
Eligibility & Experience
- Full GMC registration.
- Experience in all aspects of General Ophthalmology.
- Will be expected to contribute to the department’s aims.
