About our client

Our client is one of the UK's fastest-growing managed connectivity businesses, providing mission-critical communications to customers across maritime, energy, broadcast, construction, public sector, retail and critical national infrastructure. They are an Authorised Starlink Reseller and a recognised leader in multi-bearer managed network services, with extensive deployments globally and recent recognition for their international trade performance. Their growth has been driven by a strong technical reputation, deep partner relationships (Starlink, OneWeb/Eutelsat, Hughes, Peplink) and a team that delivers in environments where reliability genuinely matters.

They are now investing significantly in productising their offering, expanding internationally and broadening their solution stack — including new Private Network Interconnect (PNI) services, SD‑WAN, enterprise security, and the upcoming Amazon Project Kuiper LEO satellite network. The Senior Product Manager role has been created to lead this product agenda across the connectivity and managed‑services portfolio.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to take ownership of the product portfolio — existing services as well as the new offerings being built. You will work closely with the CTO, Commercial, Pre‑Sales, Engineering, Operations and Marketing to make sure products are well‑defined, well‑positioned, commercially compelling and consistently delivered. This is a hands‑on role: you will own roadmap, pricing, packaging, lifecycle and the supporting materials that allow the sales team to articulate solutions with confidence.

This is a single‑role hire reporting directly to the CTO, with the opportunity to shape and grow the product function over time. The product scope covers the connectivity and managed‑services portfolio (a separate standalone SaaS platform business has its own product leadership and is out of scope for this role, though you will collaborate where there is natural overlap).

Product Scope

You will own the product strategy and delivery for:

  • Existing Starlink-based services: managed Starlink connectivity across our verticals, including tiered offerings and the productisation of bespoke deployments into reusable solutions.
  • Private Network Interconnect (PNI): a growing PNI capability across the Starlink ground network and (in time) other satellite operators, including UK-hosted PNI with Peplink SD‑WAN, AWS and managed internet breakout.
  • SD‑WAN and enterprise networking: Peplink-based SD‑WAN, broader enterprise networking offerings, and new vendor relationships (e.g. Fortinet and similar) as the security and SD‑WAN stack is extended.
  • Amazon LEO services: shaping the Amazon Project Kuiper proposition ahead of and beyond the operator's launch, and bringing this to market alongside existing multi‑network offerings.
  • Multi-network and managed-service solutions: the converged offerings that combine Starlink, Amazon LEO, OneWeb/Eutelsat, Hughes, fixed and cellular bearers with managed-service wrap.
  • Vertical-specific value-adds: productised offerings such as crew welfare for maritime, mission-critical SLAs for energy and CNI, and other sector-specific add-on services.

Key Responsibilities

Product strategy and roadmap

  • Define and own the product roadmap across all in-scope offerings, balancing existing-customer commitments, new product launches and partner-driven dependencies.
  • Develop and maintain a clear product strategy that aligns with the wider company growth plan, including international expansion and vertical productisation.
  • Establish a quarterly roadmap process jointly with the CTO and Commercial leadership.

Product definition and lifecycle

  • Define product tiers, packaging, pricing and SLAs for new and existing offerings, with input from Commercial, Engineering, Operations and Finance.
  • Own the product lifecycle from concept through launch to end-of-life, including governance gates, customer migration plans and commercial readiness.
  • Drive the productisation of currently-bespoke solutions into reusable reference architectures that can be sold and delivered consistently.

New product introduction

  • Lead the introduction of new offerings — including PNI services, SD‑WAN packages, enterprise security bundles, and Amazon LEO — from initial concept through to general availability.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Operations on technical readiness, with Commercial on go-to-market, and with Marketing on positioning, collateral and launch.
  • Define success criteria for each launch (revenue, customer adoption, gross margin, time-to-deploy) and report against them.

Sales enablement and pre-sales support

  • Build the solution playbook — reference architectures, qualifying questions, value propositions, competitive positioning, and pricing guidance — so sales and pre-sales can articulate the full offering with confidence.
  • Equip the Pre‑Sales team with the technical and commercial material they need to uncover larger consultative opportunities and to support deal qualification.
  • Act as a senior point of escalation for complex pre-sales and customer conversations where deep product knowledge is required.

Partner and vendor management (product dimension)

  • Work with the CTO and Commercial team to shape the company's product relationship with key partners — Starlink, Amazon Project Kuiper, OneWeb/Eutelsat, Hughes, Peplink, Fortinet and other ecosystem players.
  • Track partner roadmaps and translate them into product implications, with early warning on changes that affect customer commitments.

Voice of customer and competitive intelligence

  • Maintain a clear, structured understanding of customer needs across our verticals through direct customer engagement, win/loss analysis and consumption data.
  • Track competitor and broader market activity (top global Starlink resellers, regional integrators, SD‑WAN and managed-network providers) and feed insight back into roadmap and positioning decisions.

Experience and Skills

  • Seven to ten years' product management experience, including significant time at Senior PM level. Demonstrable track record of owning a product or portfolio end-to-end through roadmap, launch and lifecycle.
  • Strong commercial product instinct — comfortable with pricing models, packaging, gross-margin trade-offs and the link between product decisions and business outcomes.
  • Background in B2B managed services, telecommunications, satellite communications, managed networking, SD‑WAN, SaaS-for-telecoms or an adjacent technology sector.
  • Comfortable working closely with senior engineering and operations leaders, translating technical capability into customer-ready propositions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear product documentation, sales enablement material and executive-level briefings.
  • Experience working with sales and pre-sales teams to drive complex B2B opportunities, ideally including bid and tender processes.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-growing, evolving business where structure is still being built rather than inherited.
  • Direct experience of satellite communications products (LEO and/or GEO), including Starlink, OneWeb/Eutelsat, Hughes, Inmarsat or comparable.
  • Familiarity with SD‑WAN and enterprise networking products (Peplink, Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cato Networks or similar).
  • Exposure to mission-critical sectors (maritime, energy, broadcast, public sector, defence-adjacent or critical national infrastructure) and the procurement / accreditation processes they involve.
  • Experience of Private Network Interconnect, IP transit, peering, or general ISP-grade networking concepts.
  • Experience of working alongside a separate SaaS product team, or of operating within a group containing both services and software product lines.

Personal Qualities

  • Strong commercial judgement and a bias to ship — willing to make trade-offs rather than waiting for perfect information.
  • Collaborative and diplomatic, able to influence across functions without formal authority over them.
  • Curious about the underlying technology and the customer problem, not just the artefacts of product management.
  • Comfortable owning ambiguity; able to define structure where none currently exists.
  • Direct and considered communicator, with the credibility to push back on senior stakeholders where the product story requires it.
  • A genuinely formative product role in a fast-growing UK technology business with a strong international footprint.
  • Direct exposure to leading-edge satellite and connectivity technology, including early-mover positioning on Amazon LEO
  • A senior remit from day one, with the CTO and leadership team behind the product function.
  • A talented, growing team with a strong delivery culture, headquartered in Edinburgh with UK and international reach.
  • Competitive salary, benefits and a hybrid working model that respects the value of in-person collaboration.
