My client is an esteemed quality Hotel Group, looking for a HR Assistant Manager for their properties in Cardiff & Bristol. 100+ bedrooms, multiple bars & function rooms.
The Job
As Assistant HR you will be reporting to the Hotel Manager , assist in the process to oversee all people-related functions, including recruitment, on-boarding, training & development, benefits, maintaining employee relations, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting in Recruitment & On-boarding: Managing the full hiring life-cycle, from sourcing to integration.
Training & Development: Identifying needs, planning and coordinating learning programs with heads of department and delivering in house training sessions.
Document Performance Management: Developing and implementing performance review systems.
Employee Relations: Fostering a positive work environment, handling grievances and overseeing disciplinary actions.
Compensation & Benefits:
Strategic Partnership: Advising senior leadership on HR matters.
Compliance: Ensuring adherence to current legislation and regulations.
The Person Requirements:
Minimum 2 years experience as a HR Assistant , in a hotel or hospitality environment is ESSENTIAL.
Experience in recruitment, on-boarding and driving employee engagement.
Able to assist in planning and implementing hotel training and development initiatives.
Thorough understanding of employment law and related legislation.
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
CIPD Level 3 Diploma is desired or working towards
Background in Hotel / Hospitality is ESSENTIAL
