About the opportunity:
We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Executive to join a growing and highly regarded organisation within the learning and development sector.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded and proactive sales professional to play a key role in driving new business growth. Working within a supportive and collaborative commercial team, you will be responsible for identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities.
This role would suit a driven individual who enjoys generating new opportunities, engaging with decision-makers, and managing the sales process from initial contact through to successful close.
In particular, you will:
Generate new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, events, LinkedIn and proactive outreach activities.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to closing new business opportunities.
Conduct exploratory sales meetings and identify client needs.
Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals and solution demonstrations.
Develop strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
Coordinate the delivery of solutions and programmes for new clients.
Maintain accurate sales data and nurture opportunities for future development.
Attend networking events and industry conferences to generate new contacts and opportunities.
Provide regular market and client feedback to support business growth strategies.Who we are looking for:
Previous experience within a B2b business development, sales or commercial role.
Strong commercial awareness and a passion for developing new business opportunities.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Confident presenting solutions and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of learning and development, organisational psychology or psychometric solutions would be advantageous but is not essential.
Self-motivated, positive and driven, with a genuine desire to succeed.In return we are offering:
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum plus commission.
Holiday: 33 days (including bank holidays).
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
