Children’s Residential Team Leader – Manchester Salary: £32,000+ per year Location: Manchester Full-time | Permanent | Varied rota Are you an experienced Children’s Residential Support Worker ready to take the next step in your career? We’re working with a fantastic children’s residential provider in Manchester who are looking for a confident and experienced Team Leader to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who already understands residential childcare and is ready to take on more responsibility, support a team and play a key role in providing the best possible care for children and young people. What you’ll be doing As a Team Leader, you’ll work alongside the Registered Manager and wider team to make sure the home runs safely and effectively. Your role will include: * Supporting and leading a team of residential support workers * Providing guidance, supervision and day-to-day support to staff * Helping to maintain a safe, stable and nurturing environment * Supporting children and young people with their individual needs * Taking responsibility for shifts and ensuring care plans and routines are followed * Working alongside professionals, families and other members of the care team * Supporting with records, reports and safeguarding procedures * Leading by example and helping less experienced staff develop What we’re looking for You’ll need: * NVQ Level 4 in Children, Young People & Families or an equivalent relevant qualification * Previous experience working within a children’s residential setting * Experience of supporting or leading other staff * A full UK driving licence * The ability to work a varied rota, including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins where required * A genuine commitment to improving the lives of children and young people What’s on offer? * £32,000+ salary * Full-time, permanent position * Varied rota * Opportunity to progress within the organisation * Supportive management team * A chance to take the next step in your residential childcare career If you’re already an experienced residential childcare worker and feel ready for a Team Leader position where you can make a real difference, we’d love to hear from you
