Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse (NMC Registered)

Quick Medix are currently recruiting experienced Orthopaedic Scrub Nurses (NMC Registered) for temporary theatre requirements in Newport, South Wales.

We are seeking skilled and confident Registered Nurses with previous orthopaedic scrub experience who are looking for flexible agency opportunities and competitive rates of pay.

Successful candidates will work within a surgical theatre environment, assisting with orthopaedic procedures and delivering high standards of perioperative patient care.

Pay: £35.00 - £40.00 per hour (umbrella assignment rate).

Flexible temporary shifts available, subject to service requirements.

• Provide specialist scrub nursing assistance during orthopaedic surgical procedures.
• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical instruments, equipment and operating theatre environments.
• Assist surgeons during elective and trauma orthopaedic procedures within individual competencies.
• Maintain accurate surgical instrument, swab and needle counts.
• Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques, infection prevention and theatre safety protocols.
• Assist with patient preparation and positioning for surgical procedures.
• Maintain accurate theatre documentation and patient records.
• Work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, theatre practitioners and multidisciplinary teams.
