A senior NHS-related healthcare organisation in the Southwest is seeking to appoint an Associate Director of Business Operations & Governance to play a critical leadership role within its senior management team.
This is a high-impact, executive-level post with responsibility for business operations, governance, transformation, corporate services and assurance, supporting the Managing Director and Board to deliver safe, effective and compliant healthcare services.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will:
Lead business operations, governance and corporate support functions
Provide executive support to the Board and Board Committees , including governance frameworks, work programmes and assurance
Lead risk management, audit and compliance , ensuring regulatory and NHS requirements are met
Oversee organisation-wide transformation and change programmes , driving efficiency and continuous improvement
Lead corporate teams , including PMO, administration, business support and health & safety
Strengthen governance across digital, estates, facilities and operational services
Represent the organisation across system, regional and partnership forums
About You
You will bring:
Senior leadership experience within the NHS, healthcare or a complex regulated environment
Strong expertise in business operations, governance, risk and transformation
Experience supporting Boards, senior committees and executive leaders
A proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary corporate teams
Excellent strategic, analytical and stakeholder-management skills
Degree-level qualification (or equivalent experience) and evidence of continuous professional development
