Grinder / Precision Machinist

Our engineering client is looking for a Grinder to join their busy team in Dorset, manufacturing high-precision engineering components. The role will involve: * Carrying out precision grinding and honing operations * Working from engineering drawings and specifications * Using micrometers, verniers and gauges * Working accurately to tight tolerances * Inspecting components to ensure quality standards are met * Learning and developing new machining techniques Candidates should have completed an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent vocational training, with a good understanding of engineering principles and precision measurement. Previous grinding, honing, milling, turning or CNC experience would be beneficial, although specialist training can be provided. Hours: Monday–Thursday: 7:30am–5:00pm Friday: 7:30am–11:30am 40 hours per week Pay: £16–£18 per hour, depending on experience Benefits: * Permanent position * Overtime paid at 1.5x * 5% pension contribution * Specialist training and development * Early finish every Friday This is an excellent opportunity to develop specialist skills within a growing precision engineering company
