We manage and mitigate risk and deliver quality insurance products and services to protect the company’s employees, assets and liabilities and to meet its contractual obligations to customers across the group.Job PurposeThe Lead Product Owner is responsible for end-to-end ownership of functional product scope across IRM technology initiatives. The role defines, manages, and prioritises requirements, user stories, product backlogs, and the overall transformation vision to deliver high-quality, business-aligned technology solutions.Acting as the key interface between business stakeholders, operations, architecture, and technology delivery teams, the role ensures that underwriting, claims, policy, and regulatory requirements are effectively translated into actionable epics, user stories, and deliverable outcomes.The role brings deep insurance domain expertise and contributes to domain-level solution design and architecture alignment, ensuring solutions are scalable, compliant, and aligned with IRM operating models and enterprise standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and guide business analysts and requirements teams, ensuring effective prioritisation of the IRM T-A-T (Technology, Architecture and Transformation) backlogOwn and manage the product backlog, ensuring prioritisation is aligned with business value, strategic objectives, and IRM roadmapLead backlog refinement, grooming sessions, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremoniesGather, define, and validate business and operational requirements in close collaboration with IRM stakeholdersTranslate business needs into clear epics, user stories, and well-defined acceptance criteriaLead workshops and stakeholder sessions to define scope, clarify requirements, and shape solution directionAct as the primary interface between business, architecture, and technology delivery teamsContribute to domain architecture discussions, ensuring alignment between business processes, data flows, and target architectureEnsure solutions align with IRM domain models (claims, underwriting, policy) and enterprise architecture principlesCollaborate closely with architects and engineers to validate solution feasibility and design integrityMaintain clear scope definition, requirements traceability, and change control across initiativesValidate delivered solutions against business requirements and acceptance criteriaEnsure compliance with regulatory, risk, and insurance industry requirements across all solutionsIdentify risks, dependencies, and gaps, and proactively drive resolutionSupport UAT, release readiness, and business adoption activitiesContinuously improve product ownership practices, documentation standards, and delivery effectivenessMonitor industry, insurance, regulatory, and technology trends to inform roadmap and strategic recommendationsQualifications & Key RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or related discipline (Master’s preferred)12+ years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, or delivery rolesStrong domain experience in insurance, risk management, or financial services (mandatory)Proven experience in backlog management, prioritisation, and product lifecycle ownershipStrong capability in writing epics, user stories, and acceptance criteriaExperience facilitating workshops and leading cross-functional stakeholder discussionsStrong experience working in Agile / Scrum environmentsExposure to solution architecture or technical design discussions is highly desirableStrong understanding of insurance processes (underwriting, claims, policy administration)We offer:Great opportunity to work for the biggest logistics company in the worldInternational and virtual environmentFlexibility and great opportunity to learnTempting Compensation and benefitsCar / Car allowanceDHL is an equal opportunity employer.
