Are you a recent graduate looking to gain valuable school-based experience before pursuing a career in teaching, educational psychology, speech and language therapy, or child development?

We are recruiting on behalf of an outstanding and nurturing primary school in Ipswich, Suffolk (IP1), seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join their welcoming team from September 2026.

The Role

As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Support children across EYFS, KS1, and KS2

  • Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions

  • Assist pupils with additional learning needs and SEN

  • Work alongside experienced teachers and the SENCO

  • Help create an engaging and inclusive learning environment

  • Gain hands-on classroom experience ideal for aspiring teachers

The Ideal Candidate

The successful graduate will be:

  • Passionate about working with children

  • Caring, proactive, and enthusiastic

  • Considering a future career in education or psychology

  • A confident communicator with a positive attitude

  • Previous child-based experience is desirable but not essential
